THE LIBRARIES of the Passamaquoddy Region provide a wealth of resources. The holdings of several of the libraries on the New Brunswick side of the Bay are available through the New Brunswick Public Library Service online catalog called: Vision. Through this catalog one can search if a particular title is located at participating libraries including the Campobello Public Library, the Grand Manan Library, the Ross Memorial Library of St. Andrews and the St. Croix Library in St. Stephen. Each of these libraries are part of the St. John Regional Library network which is in turn part of the larger New Brunswick library system. Likewise, the holdings of the Huntsman Marine Science Centre Library in St. Andrews are searchable online as part of a combined database, Waves, of the 12 networked libraries of departmental offices and research facilities of Fisheries and Oceans Canada. On the Maine side of the Bay, the holdings of the Cobscook Bay Resource Center of Eastport are searchable online as well as downloadable: Cobscook Bay Resource Center Library Index. The holdings of the Calais Free Library, the Pembroke Public Library and the Washington County Community College in Calais are available through Minerva, a statewide library database holdings system. Information including online links about all of the libraries found throughout the greater Passamaquoddy region is currently available on the CulturePass website, CulturePass, an online cultural resource developed by the Tides Institute & Museum of Art and collaborating partners . The online library catalogs of the University of Maine system and the University of New Brunswick system are also very useful, but provide locational listings of holdings only within branches of these universities with the largest holdings at the largest branches (University of Maine, University of Southern Maine, University of New Brunswick). Quest is the online library catalog for the library holdings of all the campuses of the University of New Brunswick system: Quest. Ursus is the shared online library catalog for the University of Maine System, Bangor Public Library, Maine State Library, Maine State Law and Legislative Reference Library: Ursus.
