THE TIDES INSTITUTE & MUSEUM OF ART (TIMA) is developing an architectural database on buildings and architects of the greater Passamaquoddy region. One current photographic effort involves extensive photographing of buildings and architectural details throughout the Passamaquoddy region consisting now of over 8,000 negatives. This collection is particularly strong with the communities of Campobello, Dennysville, Eastport, Lubec, Pembroke, and St. Andrews. The project is ongoing and will eventually include equally strong components with the communities of Deer Island, Calais, Perry, Robbinston, St.George, St. Stephen, and Whiting.

TIMA also maintains an extensive photographic collection of historic images of buildings and landscapes within the communities of the Passamaquoddy region as well as an extensive collection of postcards of this region. Eventually, much of this information will be available through the TIMA's website. Finally, TIMA's library contains a fairly extensive collection of books relating to architecture and historic preservation.
